NCA Obtains IOSA Certificate
Safety Audit Standards for International Flight Operations Achieved
On November 7, 2008, Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA, Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Tadamasa Ishida) obtained IOSA certification, an international auditing program that recognizes operational safety that is managed by IATA.
IOSA is a globally recognized auditing program designed to assess the safety management of airline companies. The program evaluates an airline’s business in eight divisions -- corporate organization, flight operations, operations control, maintenance, cabin services, ground transportation, cargo management and risk/security management -- using more than 900 auditing standards that comply with international laws and regulations and other safety requirements. All IATA members must obtain IOSA certification and have it renewed every two years.
By satisfying IOSA’s exacting standards for its safety management system and operations, NCA is now internationally recognized as an airline that has a high level of operational safety.
NCA will make further efforts to ensure operational safety and improve the quality of its cargo transportation services.
