NCA Sets 2009 Summer Flight Schedule

Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA, Headquartered in Tokyo; President: Tadamasa Ishida) filed an application today with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for its new flight schedule covering the summer of 2009.

Mirroring the global economic situation, the market for international air cargo is deteriorating rapidly. In response to the depressed market conditions, NCA has taken a range of countermeasures that are more radical than previous efforts.

Given the severity of the conditions, and out of a desire to respond faithfully to customers' requests, NCA has set its flight schedule for summer 2009 with attention to flexibility and mobility.

NCA will continue pursuing "usability," "high quality" and "variety of services" to meet customers' needs and we aim to be a reliable partner making constant progress in cooperation with our customers.

[New services starting from summer 2009]

Expanded services through code-sharing

We will start code-share flight services with Japan Airlines International to improve customer convenience.

Resumption of the European route from Chubu International Airport

Flights between Chubu International Airport and Europe (Amsterdam) will operate three times a week, in response to requests from customers in the Chubu region.

Resumption of New York route

Flights between Narita and New York (via Anchorage and Chicago) will operate twice a week in response to requests from customers in both Japan and the United States.

Night flights to US West Coast

All flights from Narita to San Francisco via Los Angeles (seven flights a week) will depart at night, increasing customer convenience by shortening the lead time between loading and arrival.

*The flight schedule will be effective after approval by the relevant authorities.
