NYK and JAL Commence Cargo Business Reform and Merger Negotiations

NCA’s parent company, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), has made the following announcement today.

On August 21, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Japan Airlines (JAL) jointly announced today that Japan Airlines International (JALI) - the key subsidiary of JAL, and NYK, have reached an agreement to commence negotiations involving the restructuring of their cargo business and a potential merger between the cargo business of JALI and Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) ? a subsidiary of NYK.

NCA will, from now on, devote ourselves to deliberate specific measures following the decision.
