Packing requirements for the articles with gasoline engines
Please be advised that NCA have set up additional packing requirements for the articles with gasoline engines carried under Packing Instruction 900. The details are as follows.
1. Packing Requirement
The articles with Gasoline engines carried under Packing Instruction 900, fuel tank must be drained of fuel as far as practicable.
If any fuel remains it must not exceed one quarter of the tank capacity. And for the articles having large capacity fuel tank, remain fuel must not exceed one quarter of the tank capacity or 60 L, whichever lower quantity.
2. Effective Date
July 1st, 2008.
3. Others
・ NCA may confirm capacity of fuel tank and quantity of remain fuel upon acceptance.
・ The requirements will be added as “Operator Variation KZ-11” on IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation 50th edition which is going to be effective on January 1st 2009.
