Dear Valued Customers,
Lithium Ion and Lithium Batteries Handling in 2014
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation for flight safety.
The regulations on lithium batteries in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 55th edition (effective from January 1, 2014) will be amended.
To ensure flight safety and smooth handling, we summarized those changes for easy understanding.
However, those changes in these summaries will become effective from January 1, 2014. Therefore, in 2013, lithium batteries must be handled in accordance with 54th 2013 edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and applicable local regulations.
And if there is a difference between these summaries and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations prevail.
Therefore, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations must be observed when you handle lithium batteries.
Please note, NCA shall not be held responsibility for any loss or damage caused by errors, omissions, misprints or misinterpretation of the contents in these summaries.
