NCA Realigning Service Routes
Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA: Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo: President Tadamasa Ishida) has been making numerous management efforts to reduce fuel costs under the recent unlimited fuel price hike circumstances. NCA has come to a decision that realignment of the below routes would be inevitable for some time in the immediate future so as to sustain and strengthen its fundamental route operations.
1. Flights departing Narita (partly KIX) bound for Chicago and New York
?? NCA will suspend a call on New York with KZ166 scheduled to depart Narita on August 24 and KZ115 scheduled to depart New York on August 25.
② Instead, NCA will increase direct flights between Narita and Chicago from five to seven a week.
2. Flights departing Narita bound for Beijing via Seoul(ICN)
?? During the Olympic Games in Beijing, NCA will suspend flights to Beijing from August 1 through 31 due to expected implications resulting from enforced traffic control around the Beijing area.??Instead, NCA will shift the said service to Shanghai in same period.
② Consequently, NCA will increase Seoul/Shanghai flight from two to four a week.
While we know that these changes will impact some customers, the structure of our current
fleet and the soaring fuel prices that far exceed our anticipation have forced us to reach this
extremely difficult decision of suspending New York service. However, we trust that
our choice of pursuing the most efficient route operation to secure a foundation for a firm
development is the only way to meet our clients?? expectations. We will continue to enhance
our fleet to improve quality and coverage of services for future. We seek the understanding
of those concerned and look forward to your continued support and patronage.
