A new dangerous goods, EDLC, “Capacitor, electric double layer (with an energy storage capacity greater than 0.3Wh)” will be added to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 54th edition (effective from January 1, 2013).

To ensure flight safety and smooth handling, we summarized handling of EDLC for easy understanding.

However, EDLC will be introduced in 2013.  Therefore, EDLC cannot be transported with this guidance in 2012.

And if there is a difference between this guidance and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations prevail.  Therefore, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations must be observed when you handle EDLC.
