Thank you for your understanding and cooperation for flight safety.

    The regulations on lithium batteries in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 54th edition (effective from January 1, 2013) will be amended.

   To ensure flight safety and smooth handling, we summarized those changes for easy understanding.

    And the explanation for documentation requirements was added in November, 2012.  Please see attachments for the details.

    However, those changes in these summaries will become effective from January 1, 2013. Therefore, in 2012, lithium batteries must be handled in accordance with 53rd 2012 edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and applicable local regulations.

   And if there is a difference between these summaries and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations prevail.

   Therefore, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations must be observed when you handle lithium batteries.
