    The regulations on lithium batteries in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 56th edition (effective from January 1, 2015) will be amended.

   To ensure flight safety and smooth handling, we summarized those changes for easy understanding.

    However, those changes in these summaries will become effective from January 1, 2015. Therefore, in 2014, lithium batteries must be handled in accordance with 55th 2014 edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and applicable local regulations.

   And if there is a difference between these summaries and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations prevail.

   Therefore, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations must be observed when you handle lithium batteries.
