TRAFFIC & SECURITY

June 15, 2021

Nippon Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd

Dear Valued Customers,

New TSA screening requirements for all cargo carriers

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will implement the new cargo security measures that will require the through screening of all non-exempt cargo being transported on all cargo aircraft departing the United States from June 30th, 2021.

In accordance with these new requirements, Nippon Cargo Airlines is planning to start new screening procedure as of June 29th, 2021. Thus, we may request you to tender your cargo to NCA facility with additional requirements such as earlier drop-off.

We are also planning to implement a new handling fee based on these new requirements. Customers should plan to tender cargo to NCA that is already screened according to the new upcoming regulations effective from June 29th. For any cargo that must be screened at NCA facility, the initial charge will be USD 0.15/kg on chargeable weight and the minimum charge will be USD 15.00 per MAWB. This new fee should be described on MAWB as XB charge code and will be effective from June 29th tendering.

NCA highly recommends to bring your freight as SCREENED in order to avoid any possible delays, rejections, etc.

Please contact with your local NCA representative for further detail.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely yours,

Nippon Cargo Airlines
