Application to revise fuel surcharges for flights departing from Japan
Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo: President, Tadamasa Ishida) filed an application on June 30 with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to revise its fuel surcharges for flights departing from Japan. NCA will designate fuel surcharges for TC3 by area: short distance flights (Hong Kong, China and Korea) and long distance flights (TC3, excluding the areas identified previously). The new rates will take effect as of August 1, 2008. The rates for TC1and TC2 remain unchanged.
NCA is forced to seek clients’ cooperation in sharing the burden of soaring fuel prices. In the face of further fuel price increases, NCA has established new surcharges according to flight distances. NCA will continue to make further efforts at the management level to reduce costs.
